Nursing mom available for adoption around July 2026.
Update: Thank you to everyone who donated today while Stella was going septic. We are hopeful that we caught it in time. Four deceased puppies were removed. There were two additional alive puppies but they are not out of the woods and they are struggling, keep your positive thoughts and prayers headed her way.
Emergency funds needed
This morning we got a phone call about a dog in labor for 36 hours with one puppy born and one stuck ... Stella
Her family tried to get help. They went to a shelter with a medical center attached and were turned away today. Last night they tried surrendering her to an emergency clinic because they knew something was wrong pushing with no puppy coming ... but they were unable to do so.
Then the phone rang here.... One of our volunteers answered and immediately we started calling around trying to save this mama before it was too late. We found an emergency surgery opening and rushed her in.
Since one puppy had been born alive the day before ... and another was stuck we are worried about her being septic .. Without surgery, she is going to die and we just could not stand by and watch that happen.
We have taken medical case after medical case these last few weeks because saying “no” often means they don't make it. But the reality is our well is running dry and we desperately need help to continue saying yes.
Can our village help us raise $2,500 today to cover her emergency surgery and care? Every donation matters — no amount is too small when lives are on the line.
Please help us save this mama. this is her 5th litter and her last. Affordable spay and neuter is critical to stop mornings like this..
