Meet Ginger!

Ginger came to us from a shelter in Idaho after she was found as a stray alongside another dog she had been living with. We're not sure how anyone could leave behind such a sweet and loving girl, especially considering that she has very limited vision, estimated at 10% or less.

Despite her vision impairment, Ginger has so much love to give and is ready to find her forever home. She is looking for a safe, calm, and patient environment where she can learn her surroundings, build confidence, and enjoy the security and comfort she deserves.

Once Ginger becomes familiar with her environment, she can relax and thrive, enjoying all the simple pleasures of a loving home. She is a gentle soul who will reward her new family with loyalty, affection, and companionship.

Ginger is estimated to be 5-6yrs old, is spayed and UTD on all vaccines. She is fostering in the Boise, ID area.

The Shar Pei is a distinctive breed known for their deep wrinkles and blue black tongue. Originally from China, these medium sized dogs are loyal, independent, and protective of their families. Shar Peis have a unique appearance with a hippopotamus like face and a broad, padded muzzle. Their coat can be either horse coat or brush coat, coming in a variety of colors. While they can be aloof with strangers, Shar Peis are devoted companions with a calm demeanor, making them wonderful family pets.
