This handsome 3-year-old cream/blond Shar-Pei is ready to steal hearts and find his forever home. Buddha is a neutered gentleman with a heart of gold and a laid-back personality that makes him an easy addition to any household.

Social Butterfly: Buddha loves people and other dogs alike! He's friendly and welcoming to strangers, making him a great companion for families, singles, or anyone who enjoys an outgoing pup by their side.

On the Road: Car rides are no problem for Buddha — he may whimper a little at first, but settles in nicely for the journey.

Leash Manners: He's good on a leash and enjoys his walks, though he's still working on not tugging. With some continued practice, he'll be a leash-walking pro in no time!

Gentle Soul: Buddha hasn't shown any growling or aggression, and he respectfully keeps off the furniture — he's a polite house guest!

Things to Know: Buddha is a bit sensitive to loud noises like ambulance sirens, so a patient, understanding home will help him feel secure. He hasn't discovered a love for toys yet, and he's a bit particular about treats (he preferred his pot roast served on the floor rather than by hand!) — but every dog has their own quirks, and we're excited to see him blossom as he settles into a loving home.

The Shar Pei is a distinctive breed known for their deep wrinkles and blue black tongue. Originally from China, these medium sized dogs are loyal, independent, and protective of their families. Shar Peis have a unique appearance with a hippopotamus like face and a broad, padded muzzle. Their coat can be either horse coat or brush coat, coming in a variety of colors. While they can be aloof with strangers, Shar Peis are devoted companions with a calm demeanor, making them wonderful family pets.
