Meet OJ! The little guy with the BIG personality!

OJ is a 3-month-old Wauzser (West Highland Terrier/Schnauzer mix), weighing in at about 6 pounds—and he may be tiny, but this boy has plenty of sass packed into that little body!

OJ came to Once Upon A Prayer Pet Rescue after a brother and sister decided to each purchase a puppy from a breeder. About a month later, they realized that two puppies were a lot more work than they expected, and the puppies were surrendered to rescue. Their loss is definitely someone else's gain, because OJ is one adorable little guy!

Since arriving in rescue, OJ has been completely vetted and has been learning all about the good life. He's doing wonderfully with a routine and is beginning to understand that the kennel is for sleeping and relaxing—not potty time! It took a couple of weeks for him to catch on, but he's now doing a great job keeping his kennel dry and is learning to consistently take his business outside. He's a smart little guy and is catching on more every day!

OJ is good with dogs, cats, kids, and pretty much everyone he meets. He's playful, curious, outgoing, and definitely the more confident and dominant of the two brothers. He's got a little extra sass and isn't afraid to let everyone know that he's ready to be the boss of the toy box!

Like any puppy, OJ is a blank slate. He's ready for a family who will continue his training, give him plenty of love and structure, and help him grow into the wonderful adult dog he's destined to become.

As with all of our adoptable dogs, OJ will go home with a collar, leash, toy, and two bowls, along with his current food. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and medical care. His adoption fee is $1000, which is tax-deductible and helps us continue rescuing dogs in need.

Known for their distinctive white coats, Westies are friendly, alert, and spirited companions. With their playful nature and strong hunting instincts, they make excellent family pets. Their compact size, low shedding, and loving personality make them popular choices for both city dwellers and country homes. West Highland White Terriers thrive on human companionship and are adaptable to various living environments.
