**WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES** Homeward Bound Dog Rescue is an all volunteer rescue organization and all our dogs and puppies are in foster homes - we are not a shelter and do NOT have a facility where we house our dogs. For adoption information go to: www.homewardbounddogrescue.com. You must fill out an application online as we do NOT accept applications at our clinics.
Hi I’m Sassy and I’m looking for my forever home! I’m a 7 year old female schnauzer who only had one owner. Unfortunately she went into a care facility and I ended up in a foster home and here I wait. I weigh 20 lbs. I get along with other dogs and I would really like a fenced-in yard to walk around in. I never had that luxury and was cooped up in an apartment. For this reason also I love walking on a leash anywhere, anytime I am ready! My owner was not able to walk me either so there’s that. I want to make up for lost time. If I’m making you interested you can call Homeward Bound and inquire about me!
Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $395. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
