Daisy was taken in by a local Texas rescue after she was dropped off on a neighborhood street with three other dogs. She was underweight at the time and clearly overwhelmed, but she's been steadily coming out of her shell.
Daisy is shy and skittish in new environments and is still working on leash walking and vet handling. She will walk on a leash, but confidence takes time. Once she feels safe, her personality shines. She is incredibly affectionate and will climb into your lap whenever she gets the chance. She also loves giving full-body hugs, wrapping herself around you whether you are standing or sitting.
She does well in the car and is intelligent, but her anxiety means she needs patience and consistency. Daisy would benefit from someone who is at home most of the time and another confident dog to be her friend and to help show her the ropes.
Daisy is a sweet, sensitive dog who bonds deeply once trust is built. With time and patience, she becomes a devoted lap companion who just wants to be close.
