Howdy, partner! There’s a new sheriff in town, and his name is Walker Texas Ranger. Aka Tex, Big Papa, Big Mac, Big Boy, LUV’r Boy. As the sheriff of the Southwestern Pups crew, Tex keeps the peace the only way he knows how: with LUV. Lots and lots of LUV.

They say everything’s bigger in Texas, and this boy is living proof. He’s big, and his heart is even bigger. Kisses, cuddles, holding paws, you name it, Tex is all in. Forget roundhouse kicks. This Ranger’s signature move is the roundhouse cuddle.

And can we talk about how STUNNING he is? That warm, golden desert-sunset coat, the handsome white chest like a sheriff’s badge, and those little ears that absolutely do not match the rest of him. He grew into everything except those ears, and honestly, we hope he never does.

Tex LUVs to play, but fair warning: he has no idea how big he is. In his mind, he’s a lap dog, and he will try to prove it. He’s great with people and dogs, big and small(ish). He does well with kids too, though because of his size, he’s probably best with older or bigger kids who won’t get bowled over by all that LUV. Chuck Norris doesn’t sleep, he waits. Tex doesn’t wait, he’s already sitting on your feet.

Tex is part of the Southwestern Crew who came to us from an unhoused desert encampment in Perris, CA. He and his sister, plus 3 other pups traded in the desert life for couch cuddles and greek yogurt (a favorite treat!).
