Marty - Retriever Dog for Adoption in Fort Collins, Colorado

My name is Marty, but my foster mom calls me Goober—and honestly, it fits. I'm a big, happy guy who firmly believes I'm a lapdog and has absolutely no concept of how much space I take up. I'm always ready for pets, usually wearing a smile, and would happily be your constant companion. I'm still figuring out a few things about the world, including stairs, which I currently find highly suspicious. A home with a big, fenced yard to explore would be right up my alley!

I get along well with my canine foster siblings and have done great with children. Because I'm still young, large, and sometimes enthusiastically unaware of my own size, I'd probably be a better match for older kiddos than toddlers. I haven't met any cats yet, so they're still an unknown. I'm also working on my leash manners and kennel training and making progress as I settle into foster care. My foster mom says I'm a very handsome boy, and I enthusiastically wag my tail in agreement.

Marty is a 1.5-year-old mixed breed rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $350 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, 4DX testing, and neuter. Marty is also tested with other dogs, children, and potty and kennel trained. He is not tested with cats. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if he might be a good fit for your home.

The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals.

We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!)

Please note, adoption applications are processed within 12 business days. Adoption applications cannot be processed onsite at adoption events.

Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525).
