Callie - Border Collie and Spaniel Dog for Adoption in Grass Valley, California

This little darling came to the shelter with two housemates after their owner was no longer able to care for them. She's been fearful and nervous since her arrival but it's clear to us that she is confused as to why she is without her owner and simply wants to be loved.
It doesn't take much to gain the trust of Callie, she is quite lovable and snuggly, although a bit shy initially.
Callie would thrive with a person that is able to give her the time she needs to feel comfortable in a home.
She is approximately 4 1/2 years old and weighs 30 lbs.
Callie plays gently with other dogs.

Important Information:

Dogs that are not yet spayed or neutered are available for "Foster-to-Adopt."

Please note: We only offer fostering to individuals in and around Nevada County.

Our foster-to-adopt program is for dogs awaiting their spay or neuter. During this period, youll foster until their spay/neuter surgery is complete, after which the adoption becomes official.

Adoption fee is $125.00. Nevada County Animal Shelter dogs are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and are up to date on their flea, tick and heartworm prevention prior to adoption.
