Gibby - Retriever and Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Fairfax Station, Virginia

Hi, I'm Gibby! I'm a handsome 1-year-old blond Retriever mix who's already neutered, housetrained, and knows most commands - so I'm ready to settle into your home right away. I'm a big guy at 60 pounds, but don't let my size fool you; I'm calm and gentle with a playful spirit that'll keep you smiling. I walk nicely on a leash and love showing off what I've learned, plus I'm affectionate and cuddly when it's time to relax. My adoption fee is just $40, so come meet me and let's start an amazing adventure together!

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.

The retriever is a beloved dog breed known for its friendly demeanor, intelligence, and exceptional ability to retrieve objects. With a loyal and gentle nature, retrievers make excellent family pets and are popular choices for service and therapy work. These dogs excel in obedience training and activities such as agility and hunting. Recognized for their shiny coats and moderate size, retrievers come in various colors including golden, Labrador, and Chesapeake Bay. Their overall versatility and affectionate personalities make them cherished companions in many households.
