This 40-pound bundle of red-coated enthusiasm is friendly, playful, and so genuinely thrilled to be near his people that he has been known to get so excited during a good petting session that he ends up underfoot on the leash walk. He means well, he just really loves you. Boone knows sit, is quiet and calm in his crate, and is currently working on his housetraining. He is a smart boy and with consistency he will get there. Squeaky toys are basically Boone's love language, and he is happiest when he has a good squeak toy in his mouth, a dog friend to play with, and a human nearby ready to deliver belly rubs on demand. He is good with other dogs and friendly with strangers, and would do best in a home without cats. Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption.
