MEET BASH!

This tiny 11 pound 1 year old peanut is full of playful energy and ready to find her forever family. She can be shy at first, but warms up quickly to people and other pets. Then be prepared, she is ready for a game of tug of war and some tasty apple snacks!

Bash was surrendered to ProNE when her owner was unable to care for her needs. She has since been spayed and has done very well adapting to life in her foster home. She gets along well with the other pugs and cat in her foster home. One of her favorite games is playfully stealing their toys and giving chase or soliciting some tug of war challenges. She can be a little "mouthy" during play, not uncommon at her age, but it may be interpreted as biting for very small children, so older dog savvy kids would do best with her.

Bash is house trained, does well on the leash, loves her walks, and loves to go on adventures in the car. She is also crate trained. It was reported that in her first home she liked to escape her enclosure. Any areas off limits to her in a home should be safely secured. Bash is easily redirected but left to her own devices she'll happily "refinish" furniture. Another thing to keep in mind for unsupervised spaces.

She enjoys playing in the yard and is curious to explore all the areas of the fenced yard in her foster home. We would love to see her continue to enjoy that activity, but an unfenced or no yard is not a deal breaker as long as she gets plenty of time to explore the world on leash.

Bash is a healthy young dog. She has been maintained on flea tick and heartworm preventatives and is UTD on vaccines. She eats a diet of Blue Buffalo Basics Skin and stomach care and tolerates it well. She enjoys yogurt, chicken and ground beef toppers. She shows no food aggression or resource guarding tendencies with the other dogs in her foster home.

Not a big barker; she would do well in a quiet neighborhood as loud noises can frighten her. She would be fine in an active household as she loves the stimulation of interacting will all of the family members currently caring for her. Bash is a fun, energetic, sweet girl. We are looking forward to finding her a place where she can create many happy memories with her new family and receive all of the love, care and stimulation a young pug craves. ADOPTION FEE $900.00. $750.00 based on age plus $150.00 spay fee

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS FOR BASH

Can be an only or join a pet loving family

Dog savvy children aged 6 and older

Cats ok

Fenced yard preferred but not required

Daily walks

Commitment to continuing basic training for safety and enrichment

Ability and willingness to provide for safety during periods of absence (crate or gated area)

Commitment to maintaining good health with annual wellness visits and flea, tick and heartworm prevention

A vet reference check, dog walker check (if applicable), landlord check (if applicable), a phone interview and home visit will be conducted prior to approval. Our mission is simple: we find homes for abandoned and surrendered pugs in New England. Our pugs will be UTD on shots and spayed or neutered prior to adoption. You must be a resident of the New England states. Due to a change in state regulations, we are no longer adopting outside of New England.

PRoNE is supported by adoption fees, donations and funds raised through auctions and events. Adoption fees range from $200-$1,000 which is based on age of the dog. Effective in January 2023, we have imposed a $150 Spay/Neuter Fee (if required) and a $500 Transportation Fee (For dogs requiring air/cargo travel). Pug Mixes will be discounted by $100 off the fee for their age range. Pairs and Triples will be discounted by $50 per dog.

6-7 years old= $500
8-10 years old= $400
11-12 years old= $300
Over 12 = $200
