From Scared and Alone to Loved and Safe!
This handsome 4-year-old boy has already been through more than any pug should have to endure.
He was dumped and left to fend for himself, so frightened that he had to be trapped to get him to safety.
We can only imagine how scary and confusing those days must have been for him.
But here's the beautiful thing about this boy: once he realized he was safe, his sweet personality began to shine!
Now, he's discovering just how wonderful it feels to be loved.
He's happy to receive attention and affection, and he's learning that people can be kind, gentle, and trustworthy.
Watching a scared little soul begin to relax and enjoy life is one of the most rewarding parts of rescue, and this boy is showing us that there's plenty of love waiting behind those worried eyes.
Unfortunately, he has tested positive for heartworms and will need veterinary care and treatment.
Heartworm disease is caused by parasites transmitted through mosquito bites.
It is treatable, and many dogs go on to live happy, healthy lives with appropriate veterinary care.
He will need a family committed to helping him through treatment and following his veterinarian's instructions, including keeping him calm and restricting his activity during recovery.
After being abandoned and frightened, this sweet boy deserves a family that will never give up on him.
He needs a safe home, a soft place to sleep, gentle reassurance, and people who will show him every day that he is finally where he belongs.
He's already come so far, and his heart is opening up to all the love he's been missing.
Now, he just needs someone willing to give him the forever home he deserves.
