MEET BUDDY: Everyone deserves a best Buddy!
1 year old 12 lbs Poodle Mix (Non-Shed) Calabasas CA
Buddy is absolutely bursting with joy, puppy energy, and a massive heart full of love to give! This fun-loving little guy has completely unlocked the secret to the good life, and his sweet, playful personality shines bright every single day. If you are looking for a loyal, cheerful sidekick who will bring non-stop smiles and dynamic energy into your home, Buddy is your guy!
Don’t let his current haircut fool you! He recently had a shave him down, but his beautiful, fluffy, non-shedding coat will grow back into a gorgeous white cloud before you know it.
THE ULTIMATE ADVENTURE COMPANION
Buddy is a young, active, and athletic little guy who loves being part of the action. His favorite activities include:
• Playing catch and fetch with his favorite toys.
• Chomping away happily on his chew toys.
• Going for car rides, hikes, and beach days.
• Meeting new people on his walks.
While he has plenty of energy for adventures, Buddy has a wonderful off-switch. When the household environment is calm, he is more than happy to take a nap and match your energy. At night, he is an expert snuggler who loves to sleep right in the bedroom on the bed or on his own dog bed.
BUDDY’S PERFECT HOUSEHOLD MATCH
Buddy is fully house-trained and does not mark inside the house! His ideal home:
• An Active Family: Because he is high-energy and still learning about the world, Buddy would do best in a home with older kids, tweens, or teenagers who can join in on his playtime.
• A Yard to Zoom In: He would love a house with a secure yard where he can safely burn off his playful puppy energy.
• A Playful K9 Sibling: Buddy loves other dogs and is actively looking for a home with another playful pup to keep him company and wrestle with.
• Fun Humans: He would thrive with a family who enjoys adventures, playtime, and lots of love. (Because he is so active and likes to stay on the move, he isn't the best match for senior adopters).
TRAINING AND NUANCES
Buddy is a smart and is already working hard on his puppy manners. He is completely leash trained and is currently learning how to "sit." Like any young pup learning, he has a few quirks his new family can gently guide him through:
• Building Confidence: He can sometimes bark when he is startled. He is also still building confidence with new people entering his space, though he warms up nicely. A patient, dog-savvy family will easily help his confidence shine!
• Slight Phobias: Buddy is currently a bit unsure about homes with stairs, getting a bath, and going to the groomer. With a patient approach and plenty of positive reinforcement, he will learn that these are nothing to fear.
• Home Alone: He hasn't been left entirely alone for long stretches yet, but so far, he seems to do completely well.
