Oscar is a 7-month-old Coton de Tulear weighing just 9 pounds. This adorable young pup is a sweet boy who is still building confidence and learning about the world around him.

Oscar can be a little shy when meeting new people, but his playful side shines when he's around other dogs. He loves chasing, play bowing, and running around with his canine friends, and he looks to them for comfort and reassurance. Because of this, Oscar may do best in a home with another friendly, confident dog who can help show him the ropes and continue building his confidence.

Oscar also has a fenced yard requirement. A secure fenced yard will give him a safe space to play, explore, and build confidence at his own pace.

Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly.
