Ru is a breeder release dog and spent the first years of her life outside in a pen. She is nervous and skittish, it takes her time to warm up, and she is most comfortable around other dogs. She has no idea what being a house pet means and she has a lot to learn.

Must have: Another dog in the home, an experienced family that understands nervous and skittish rescue dogs, a fenced in yard.
Exercise: Ru is currently very mellow, but this could be due to fear. All of her buddies are very playful. She could open up and become playful as well.
Best with: Other dogs, slow gentle approach and consistency. Calm quiet environments.
Not ideal for: Children, loud unstable routines, homes without another dog, first time dog owners.

Ru is looking for a lot of guidance, she does not understand the world of a beloved pet and right now it is more than she can handle. She is sweet but does not trust easy, she is looking for someone that will show up even when it is hard. She will need guidance and training.

Good with dogs: Yes, absolutely must have dogs in her life and home.
Good with kids: No, we would not recommend Ru to a home with children.

Fun fact: Ru loves a good comfy bed and soft blanket! (Bring one for her on adoption day!)
Potential Adopters

Dogs can’t drive - and since we’re busy taking care of them, we can’t either! Please check your potential BFF’s location and make sure you’re comfortable traveling to meet them.
