Want To Know More About Me?
Text Birdie to 864-441-9075 for my full story - we'll share everything you need to know!
Here's Your Quick Peek:
Birdie is the kind of dog who won’t always rush up first—but give her a little patience and suddenly you’ll have a shadow with soulful eyes following you everywhere you go. Found as a stray and transformed through kindness, this beautiful parti standard poodle is discovering that the world can be safe, soft, and full of love. â¤ï ̧
Please note - if you want to skip the texting and go straight to the application, you can find the link here: www.carolinapoodlerescue.org/application/
Must have:
Exercise: Yes - as a standard poodle, Birdie has energy to spare and giving her some place to put that energy will bring out the best in her.
Best with: Someone who is ready to share their home, their heart and their love with an awesome dog who simply wants to be someone's best friend. It is what this breed of dog was meant to be - not just a dog but a partner and a friend.
Not ideal for: A crazy busy household. Birdie likes to think things through. She has energy and enthusiasm for sure, but she wants it to come with structure and routine, too.
Energy level: Medium - not too much and not too little. Just right.
Birdie is a young parti standard poodle with a tender heart, a playful streak, and the kind of soulful eyes that make you fall in love without even realizing it. Once a stray with nowhere to go, she’s blossoming into a sweet, affectionate companion who just needs a little patience to truly shine.
Good with dogs: If the other dog is calm, centered and mature, Birdie likes them. She does not like rambunctious, rude dogs who get in her face (neither do I).
Good with kids: Uncertain as we've never seen her with children. Older, respectful children who know how to move around a dog we believe would work but she is more of an adult only kind of dog. She does not need kids. She does not like crazy or drama.
Cats: Unknown yet - testing can be done when requested.
Fun fact: Birdie may act a little shy at first, but once she decides you’re “her person,” she becomes your fuzzy little shadow and wants to be part of everything you do. She’s also been known to suddenly break into playful zoomies once she feels safe and happy!
Potential Adopters
Dogs can’t drive - and since we’re busy taking care of them, we can’t either! Please check your potential BFF’s location and make sure you’re comfortable traveling to meet them.
