Meet Sterling

Sterling is a handsome 4-year-old male Poodle weighing around 60 pounds. His striking black-and-white coat is fit for royalty-which is how he got his name!

When Sterling arrived at my home about 10 days ago, he was shy and unsure, quietly taking in everything around him. But day by day, this sweet boy is beginning to bloom. With patience and kindness, his personality is starting to shine, and he's slowly learning that the world can be a safe and loving place.

Sterling absolutely loves being outside. You'll often find him sitting beneath the shade tree with his paws crossed, peacefully watching over the neighborhood.

He's also discovering some of life's simple joys-soft toys, a warm cozy bed, and good chews. Watching him experience these things for what seems to be the first time has been incredibly moving. You can almost see him relax a little more each day as he realizes he is safe.

Sterling gets along beautifully with other dogs and especially enjoys playing with our 5-year-old Cattle Dog. He's been an easy and respectful houseguest and hasn't had a single accident in the house since arriving.

Sterling is truly blossoming, and it's becoming clear just how much love this boy has to give. What he needs now is a patient, loving family willing to continue building his confidence and showing him what it means to finally be home.

I have a feeling that, in the right home, Sterling is going to thrive in the most beautiful way.
