Meet Almond - The Shy Guy With a Whole Lot of Love to Give

Almond is a gentle, goofy, snuggly sweetheart who just needs a little time to feel safe before he shows you his true personality. When meeting new people, he tends to tuck himself under a table or behind a chair at first - it's his cozy "thinking spot" while he decides if you're trustworthy. Give him an hour or two, and suddenly you've got a happy, wiggly, affectionate little shadow who wants nothing more than to curl up next to you on the couch.

Once Almond warms up, he's a total delight. He loves plushie toys (and yes, he's a proud toy destroyer), enjoys playing with other dogs, and is a quiet, gentle soul who rarely barks. He takes treats with the softest little nibble and is a champion snuggler.

Almond is fully potty trained, not a single accident or marking since arriving in rescue, and he can potty on leash, so a fenced yard isn't required. He rides well in the car, gets along great with other dogs, and would thrive with a confident canine buddy to help him feel secure in new situations.

He sleeps through the night in his crate and is almost there with daytime crate training. He'll whine a bit at first but settles quickly, and he'll even go in on his own when he's ready for a nap.
