Meet Crouton!
Crouton is a 3-year-old, 10-pound poodle mix with a heart that's much bigger than she is. When she first came into our care, she was heartbreakingly underweight, but with lots of love and good meals, she's filled back out and is finally ready to find her forever family.
Don't let her tiny size fool you. Crouton is surprisingly brave and does great with dogs of all sizes, even Great Danes! She also gets along well with cats. She is crate trained, though she may bark when other dogs walk by because she would much rather be out making new friends.
Crouton is doing wonderfully with potty training. Like many small dogs, she's still working on holding it while inside, but she heads straight to the bathroom as soon as she's outside and continues to improve every day.
She is incredibly sweet, enjoys being held, and loves spending time with her people. One thing to note is that her teeth will likely need a dental cleaning in the near future. After spending who knows how long trying to survive and find food, her smile shows a little bit of that history.
Now that she's healthy again, Crouton is ready to trade survival mode for a lifetime of love, soft beds, and full food bowls.
