2-year-old Pickles is proof that some of the best relationships are worth taking a little time to build.
This handsome tabby was trapped on the streets of Baltimore, where he spent his early life struggling to survive. These days, he's discovering just how nice the indoor life can be-but he's still a bit cautious about getting pets and loud noises. Give him patience and understanding, and you'll be rewarded with a sweet, chatty companion who genuinely seeks out affection from the people he trusts.
Like any quirky gentleman, Pickles has a few funny habits. For example, he'd really prefer not to be bothered while he's eating and may grumble his opinion if you try to pet him mid-meal (don't worry-he's all talk!). Ironically, he's perfectly happy sharing food with other cats. He also has a habit of staring at you with his enormous eyes as if he's trying to solve the mysteries of the universe-or maybe just figure out what you're doing.
He's great with other cats and enjoys having feline friends around, though he's admittedly a little socially awkward at times. He's still learning the finer points of cat friendship, but he loves to play and continues to gain confidence every day.
Pickles would do best in a quieter home without young children and with adopters who understand that trust takes time. Once he feels safe, his affectionate, goofy personality starts to shine.
