What Does the Dog's Ideal Home Look Like?
Audrey's Ideal Home
Audrey would thrive in a home where she can be the center of someone's world. She's a loving little companion who craves affection and wants to be involved in her family's daily life. Whether you're working from home, relaxing on the couch, or heading out on an adventure, Audrey will want to be right by your side. Because she loves attention so much, Audrey would do best with a family that has plenty of time to spend with her and enjoys cuddling, lap time, and giving lots of pets. She may occasionally become a little jealous when sharing attention with other dogs, so her family should be willing to help her continue building confidence through positive reinforcement. She could thrive as an only dog or with another friendly, well-balanced dog who respects her space. Thanks to her tiny size, Audrey would be an excellent companion for apartment or house living, as long as she receives daily walks, playtime, and lots of love. She also makes the perfect little sidekick for pet-friendly outings, road trips, and everyday errands. Although she hasn't been around children since her rescue, we believe Audrey's sweet and gentle personality would make her a wonderful companion for respectful children under adult supervision.
Above all, Audrey is looking for a family that will cherish her, include her in their everyday life, and give her the unconditional love she's always dreamed of. In return, she'll be a loyal little shadow who will happily fill your home with endless affection and companionship.
What Is the Dog's Rescue Story?
Audrey's Rescue Story
Audrey's story is one of heartbreak, resilience, and hope. One day, her owners moved away and left her behind. Confused and heartbroken, little Audrey stayed outside the apartment where she had once lived, faithfully waiting for the family who never came back.A kind neighbor couldn't ignore her. He made sure she had food and fresh water every day, but unfortunately, he wasn't able to take her in himself. Wanting to give her a chance at a better life, he reached out to our rescue for help.
We immediately welcomed Audrey into our care. When she first arrived, Audrey was frightened, confused, and suffering from separation anxiety after the trauma of being abandoned by the people she trusted most. It was heartbreaking to watch such a tiny dog carry such a heavy emotional burden. Over the next few months, with patience, love, compassionate care, and the companionship of other dogs, Audrey slowly began to heal. Her confidence grew, her playful personality emerged, and the sweet, joyful little girl she was always meant to be finally blossomed.
Today, Audrey has left her painful past behind and is ready for a new beginning. She's searching for a forever family who will never let her wonder if she's loved again—a family that will cherish her for the rest of her life.
Audrey is waiting in Mexico until a family is committed to taking her on a 10-day trial adoption.
