Meet Stevie!

First things first... yes, he got a full makeover. We know the before photos look like someone glued a shag rug to a dog, and the after photos might have you asking where all his fluff went.

Listen... the hair will grow back. We promise.

Stevie arrived at the shelter through absolutely no fault of his own in pretty rough shape completely matted and dealing with a painful ear infection that were treating. Hes already feeling so much better, and underneath all those mats was one incredibly happy, bouncy, lovable boy.

Stevie is about 6 years old, weighs almost 40 pounds, and absolutely adores every person he meets.

Now, about his eyesight... Stevie is vision impaired due to early cataracts. He sees some things, but we couldnt exactly give him the eye chart test.

His vision doesnt slow him down one bit. He happily trots along on walks, explores the world with confidence, and just enjoys life.

Because he cant always see another dog approaching, he appreciates thoughtful introductions. Hes done well with some of our shelter dogshe just likes a chance to realize theyre there before someone pops up in his face. Honestly... dont we all? So if you have a dog- bring them along to make sure its a good fit .

Stevie has spent the last 10 days in the shelter, and wed really love to change that!
