Meet Twinkie, a roughly 2-year-old male Standard Poodle who's ready to trade his rough start for a life filled with love, adventures, and all the good stuff!

When Twinkie first came into rescue, he was matted, underweight, and still figuring out that the big, wide world has some pretty wonderful things to offer. He may be an adult on paper, but socially? Let's just say his *Puppy 101* curriculum is still very much in session!

**The world is a big place!** New people, places, and experiences can feel intimidating to Twinkie, so he'll need a patient, encouraging human who can help him build confidence one little victory at a time. He's learning that the world isn't such a scary place after all, and with the right person cheering him on, we think his horizons will keep getting bigger!

**Professional Floof Maintenance Required!** That gorgeous Poodle coat doesn't maintain itself! His future family must be ready to keep up with regular grooming to prevent matting and keep him feeling his very best. Fabulous hair comes with fabulous responsibilities!

**Canine Confidence Coaches Wanted!** Twinkie is currently living with both male and female dogs who are helping him learn appropriate doggy manners and social cues. He's got some catching up to do, and polite canine role models are helping show him the ropes!

**Cat-approved and poultry-unbothered!** Twinkie lives with cats and has no interest in them. Chickens and ducks? Also not on his agenda. Apparently, he has decided that minding his own business is a perfectly respectable hobby.

**House Training: Coming Along Nicely!** Twinkie has picked up on house training and using a doggy door like a champ! He had a couple of accidents when he first arrived, but none recently. He's also working on crate training. Being separated from the action can trigger some serious FOMO barking, but he eventually settles down. He'll need continued patience and practice as he learns that quiet time is okay, too.

**Twinkie's Dream Home:** A loving, patient family who understands that confidence takes time, is ready for regular professional-level coat care, and will help him navigate life with kindness and encouragement. He needs someone who sees not just the dog he is today, but the confident, happy companion he's learning to become.
