Sarah - Pomeranian Dog for Adoption in Columbia, Illinois

female, small, adult
DESCRIPTION
Sarah is ready for a fresh start! She recently came from a crowded living situation which means everything about living in a traditional home is brand new to her. Right now the world feels a bit scary but under that shy exterior is a gentle heart. Since she is still learning the ropes, her new family will need to help her understand housebreaking, how to play with toys, ask for pets, and walk well on a leash. She is a flight risk. Watching a confident resident dog would help her realize that humans can be trusted. If you have the time, love, and patience to watch a dog blossom at their own pace, come meet Sarah today!
Sarah is heartworm positive and will need to be treated. She can still be adopted but will need to come back to the shelter twice to complete the treatment which is covered in the adoption fee. Sarah will need to keep calm while she is recovering from the treatments.
Sarah is four years old and weighs 10 pounds.
All pets are microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and will be altered prior to adoption. If you are interested in meeting a dog, please stop by the shelter during open hours. Dogs may be in a foster home, therefore scheduling an appointment is recommended. If you have an existing dog at home, we recommend bringing it along to meet your possible new family member.
