What volunteers have to say about this animal:
Meet Luna - Gentle Heart, Quiet Courage, Future Best Friend
Not every kind of bravery is loud. Sometimes bravery looks like taking one more step forward, saying hello even when you're a little unsure, or deciding that maybe this new person might become a friend. That's Luna.
This sweet Pit Bull mix approaches life with thoughtful caution, but she never lets uncertainty stop her from trying. She may pause before something unfamiliar, but her curiosity and kind heart almost always win the argument.
What Luna Is Like:
- Sweet, polite, and affectionate
- Gentle with people
- Brave in her own quiet way
- Appreciates patience and kindness
- Ready to blossom in a loving home
Luna has a lovely habit of choosing connection, even when she's feeling a little nervous. Rather than hiding from the world, she takes a breath, gathers her courage, and comes over to say hello anyway. There's something incredibly special about a dog like that.
She isn't asking for someone to rescue her from who she is. She's simply looking for a person who understands that confidence grows one happy day at a time-and who will celebrate every little victory along the way.
Luna's Ideal Home Looks Like:
- Kids, on a case-by-case basis
- Other dogs, pending meet-and-greets
- A patient family willing to let trust grow naturally
- Plenty of encouragement, gentle affection, and cozy places to relax
Some dogs make a grand entrance. Luna is the kind of dog who quietly works her way into your heart...and then never leaves. We think whoever takes a chance on this lovely girl is going to wonder how they ever lived without her.
---
Condensed Staff Assessment Notes: Luna is a brave girl. Even though she can be nervous and cautious. She puts her best paw forward to seek and give attention. Luna will shine in a patient and love-filled home.
