Pooch - Pit Bull Terrier Dog for Adoption in Sparta, Wisconsin

Meet Pooch! Pooch is approximately 10 years old and is an American Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier-type mix.

Unfortunately, Pooch was surrendered because his most recent owner was allergic to him. Prior to that, it sounds like he had been bounced around between different family members throughout his lifetime. That can obviously be incredibly confusing for dogs because of the inconsistencies with their surroundings and their routine, so we're hoping that his new family gives him time and patience while he re-learns everything all over again.

Pooch was immediately sweet with us - he greeted us with a submissive, yet wagging tail and was incredibly gentle. He loves belly rubs and being in the sunshine. He gets interested in squeaky toys but isn't overly obsessed. Pooch is crate trained and loves his soft dog bed SO much. He's going to love a life of leisure with you. That being said, he'd also love a nice walk every day, but he won't demand a strenuous run. He's just happy to be included in your daily life.

Pooch has lived with other dogs, cats and children and has done well. We think he'll adjust well in his new home as long as everyone is properly introduced and supervised.
