Meet Theodore “Teddy” III
DOB: 01-12-2026
Teddy’s story starts in a banana box in Indiana, where he and his three siblings were found at just 5 to 6 weeks old. Since then, he’s been busy making up for lost time by growing into a happy, curious, full-of-life puppy who is ready to find his forever home.
Teddy is exactly what you’d expect from a young pup. He’s energetic, playful, and deeply people-focused. He hasn’t met a stranger yet and loves attention, back scratches, belly rubs, and any excuse to be near his humans. Call his name and he’ll come running over with pure excitement, ready to be part of whatever you’re doing.
He’s also a social butterfly with other dogs. Teddy loves to play, chase, and wrestle with dog friends of all sizes, and he would thrive in a home with a playful canine companion. Whether it’s tug of war, chasing balls, or chewing on his favorite Benebone, Teddy is always ready for fun.
For such a young guy, Teddy is already showing how smart he is. He understands “outside” and will go to the door when asked. He runs right into his crate for treats and settles in quietly, sleeping through the night and staying clean for short periods during the day. He’s working on commands like “sit,” “wait,” and “get down,” and because he’s food motivated, he’s picking things up quickly.
Like any puppy, Teddy is still learning. He can be a little mouthy during play but redirects easily with toys. He’s making great progress with potty training, and while he can get excited and jump when food is being prepared, he’s already improving with guidance.
Teddy’s perfect home is one that understands puppy life and is ready to continue his training with patience and consistency. He would do best with an active family and a doggie playmate to help burn off his energy and keep him engaged.
Teddy is a joyful, affectionate, and entertaining little boy who is ready to bring love, laughter, and plenty of puppy antics into his forever home.
**All puppies under 1 year old require an adult resident dog in the home to be considered and cannot be left alone for more than 4 hours**
