Meet Samantha “Sammie”
DOB: 01-12-2026
Sammie is the kind of puppy who walks into a room and immediately starts figuring out how everything works… and how to make it more fun. Found in a banana box in Indiana with her siblings at just 5 to 6 weeks old, she’s come a long way and is now a bold, curious, and affectionate little girl ready to take on the world with her forever family.
She’s smart in that “watch first, act second” kind of way. Sammie studies her people and other dogs, picks up on routines quickly, and then jumps right in. Whether it’s learning new commands or discovering how to nudge her way past a gate, she’s always thinking. Luckily, she’s very motivated by treats and praise, which makes training both fun and rewarding. She already understands “outside,” is working on “sit,” “wait,” and “down,” and does great settling into her crate, especially if snacks are involved.
Sammie is a busy girl who loves to stay active. She’s happiest when she’s running, playing, or chasing after toys, especially if another dog is involved. She would thrive in a home with a playful canine companion who can keep up with her energy and help burn it off. She’s the type who will happily join in on any game and then look for the next one.
When the zoomies wind down, Sammie flips the switch into cuddle mode. She loves climbing onto the couch to be close to her people, whether it’s for a nap or just to feel connected. She’s affectionate without being clingy, and she truly enjoys being part of whatever her humans are doing.
She’s still very much a puppy, which means she’s learning as she goes. Sammie can get excited around food time and may jump up in anticipation, especially when treats are coming her way, but she’s already improving with consistency. She’s also continuing to make great progress with potty training and just needs a routine to keep her on track.
Sammie’s perfect home is one that’s ready for an active, intelligent puppy who needs both playtime and guidance. She’ll do best with a family that can keep her engaged, continue her training, and appreciate her clever, lively personality.
Sammie brings a little bit of everything, brains, energy, sweetness, and just enough sass to keep life interesting. She’s ready to find her people and make herself right at home.
