Pit Bull Terrier Dogs Available for Adoption in Mokena, Illinois

Chance is a beautiful 6-year-old brindle pittie mix. Chance originally came to NAWS in 2020 after arriving through one of our local animal controls. Shortly after, he adopted and has spent the past several years in a home. Unfortunately, due to a change in his owner’s circumstances, Chance has now found his way back to us. He walked through our doors recently with open arms from us, but he is understandably stressed as he adjusts to this big change. Since arriving, we’ve been surrounding him with nothing but love, comfort, and reassurance while he settles back in. Chance is getting to know all of our staff and volunteers, and showing all of us how incredibly loving he is.
Chance is active, outgoing, and incredibly sweet. He LOVES people and is always happy to make new friends. Chance has been enjoying time of his Suite, just sitting and enjoying the company of people while he adjusts back to the NAWS environment. He has historically been the only pet in his home and would likely thrive best as the only dog moving forward.
More than anything, Chance is hoping for his next, and final, home where he can feel safe, loved, and settled again.
