Zella is a beautiful 2-year-old Lab mix, weighing 45 pounds, with a fun-loving personality and a heart that’s ready to find her forever home. She’s the perfect blend of playful energy and growing maturity, making her an amazing companion for the right family. This sweet girl loves to stay active—playing ball, running, and jumping are some of her favorite things! Zella would thrive in a home where she play in a yard of her own, and enjoy life to the fullest.

Zella does well with other dogs and has been around cats. She can be a little playful and occasionally rough at times, but she responds well to guidance and redirection. She’s a smart, eager-to-please girl who is learning more every day and continues to make great progress. She absolutely loves people, but like many dogs, Zella will need a little time to settle in and fully trust her new environment. She truly embodies the 3-3-3 rule—once she feels safe, her personality really begins to shine. Zella has already come a long way and is looking for a patient, understanding home that will continue to help her grow into the incredible dog she’s meant to be.

A few things to know about Zella:
She may take a little longer to warm up to men, but she can do it! She has done well with our male staff & volunteers.
She loves car rides
She knows some commands like sit and kennel, and is learning to shake
She loves to be with her people.
