ASH - Pit Bull Terrier and American Staffordshire Terrier Dog for Adoption in Marietta, Georgia

Ash - 23291 - Kennel 51 - Arrived October 9, 2026 - American Pit Bull Terrier mix - grey and white - male - Approximately 12 years old - 50 lbs - Up to date on vaccines - Heartworm negative

Ash is a handsome blue-grey boy with a white chest, a wrinkled brow, and warm brown eyes that seem to hold every one of his years. He is even better looking in person than his photos show, and the moment you meet him, you’ll see it.

Ash arrived at Cobb Animal Services on October 9, 2026. At approximately 12 years old and 50 pounds, he has spent more than a decade being a dog, and he should be spending these years in a home, not a kennel. It isn’t fair that a gentle senior like Ash is waiting in a shelter, and every day he waits is a day he could have spent on a soft bed beside someone who loves him.

Ash is quiet, calm, and sweet, and he sits when asked. He is the kind of dog who makes a home feel peaceful just by being in it, ready for slow walks, quiet evenings, and a person to keep him company. Adopting a senior dog is one of the most rewarding things you can do. Seniors are already who they’re going to be, and no one is more grateful for a loving home than a dog who has waited for one.

Ash is up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Because of his age, he will not be neutered at the shelter. Neutering is not required for adoption, but if you choose to have it done, it would need to be arranged with your own veterinarian. Come meet Ash in kennel 51. He has waited long enough.
