Chelsi is a 3 year old pitty mix who is truly the epitome of “good with all kinds.” She loves people, kids and adults alike, and does wonderfully with cats and other dogs. She is a gentle, friendly soul with an easygoing nature and a big heart for everyone she meets.
This sweet girl has been available for adoption since the early summer of 2025 in Kansas. She was transferred up to Nebraska to give her a fresh start, but that fresh start has been a bumpy ride for her too. Chelsi is more than ready for her forever family.
Sadly, Chelsi was adopted and then returned to us less than a month later due to anxiety when left alone. She was getting out of her kennel and became destructive in the home when alone. Since being back with us, she has shown that environment and routine make a big difference and kennels like a dream. In her previous foster home with us, she was non-destructive when left out of the kennel. With consistency, patience, and understanding, Chelsi is absolutely capable of succeeding with almost anything you throw at her.

Chelsi is a bit spooky in new situations. Loud noises scare her pretty badly, and even after a couple of weeks in a foster home, big or sudden sounds can still startle her. Cars can also be overwhelming for her, and she will need to be lifted into a vehicle. These sensitivities don’t change who she is at her core, they just mean she needs understanding and gentle support as she navigates the world.
