The fog comes on little cat feet. It sits looking over harbor and city on silent haunches and then moves on." – Carl Sandburg
Fog’s foster mom found this poem after she met this delicate little dilute tortie, and it fits her perfectly. With her soft, muted gray coat and gentle presence, Fog looks like she’s stepped straight out of a misty morning. Petite and quiet, she’s a thoughtful observer of the world, always watching before deciding where she belongs.
Having spent her early life outdoors, Fog’s observant nature was once a survival skill. While she has blossomed in her foster home, seeking out snuggles, pets, and playtime with her trusted foster mom, she remains quite shy with new faces. She still instinctively hides when strangers visit, waiting for the "fog" to clear. She needs a patient soul who understands that her trust isn't given instantly but earned through quiet moments and steady love.
Playtime is the ultimate bridge to Fog's heart. She transforms into a tiny athlete when teaser toys appear, zooming through tunnels and proudly parading around with "prey" in her mouth. She is also a social butterfly with other animals; she adores her foster feline brother, Roo, whom she wrestles and chases. With the dogs, she frequently offers head-butts and grooming sessions.
Fog would thrive in a peaceful environment. While she could likely co-exist with children, she would prefer the predictable energy of older kids over the "stormy" nature of toddlers. Most importantly, Fog would love a home with a feline friend or a gentle dog to help her feel brave.
Fog is fully litterbox trained and has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. If you’re ready to let a little mist drift into your life, you can apply to adopt Fog here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdy9NUdRzsagXgNJ7xhCHp5LZnTUYFxN-2jh4HgXKTou9k-tA/viewform?pli=1.
