Meet Clover!
14-week-old Pittie Mix
If you're looking for a puppy who thinks everyone is her best friend, look no further! Meet Clover.
Clover is a sweet, happy little Pittie mix who is quickly discovering that the world is a pretty amazing place. She loves people, kids, dogs, cats, car rides, walks, sniffing new things, treats, bones, and—most importantly—LOVE. Basically, Clover has decided that everything about life is worth investigating.
She is wonderful with other dogs and is especially polite when meeting adult dogs. She can be curious and playful, but she's appropriately submissive and respectful of their space. She's also not your typical “PLEASE PLAY WITH ME!!!” puppy who drives the older dogs crazy. She knows how to take a hint! She does have a funny little play bark when she gets excited, because apparently she has a lot to say when she's having fun.
Clover is also doing amazing with her potty training and is already picking up basic training like a little pro. She learned “sit” in about an hour and now sits approximately 47 times a day because she has figured out that sitting = TREATS. We're still working on her other basic commands, but she is eager to learn and loves being rewarded.
Despite being a puppy, Clover has a wonderful medium-energy personality. She absolutely has her crazy puppy moments—zoomies are a required part of the Clover experience—but when playtime is over, she is perfectly happy to settle down with her bone and relax.
And then there's her favorite activity: being with her person.
Clover loves everyone she meets, but she definitely has a special person's-gonna-follow-you-everywhere side. She'll happily trail you from room to room, check in to see where you are, and make sure you're not doing anything interesting without her. She loves curling up in your lap, giving kisses, and soaking up as much affection as you'll give her.
She is also doing fantastically in her crate. She may give you a few little complaints for the first minute or so, but then she settles right down and goes to sleep—both during the day and overnight. She loves car rides and is learning that sticking her nose out the window is basically the greatest invention in history.
Clover was surrendered locally, and unfortunately, we don't have much information about her life before coming into foster care. What we do know is that she is incredibly sweet, resilient, and ready to make up for lost time.
She is the kind of puppy who seems genuinely excited about everything. A new walk? AMAZING. A car ride? AMAZING. Meeting a new person? BEST DAY EVER. A bone? LIFE-CHANGING. Sitting in your lap? PERFECT.
Clover is looking for a family who will continue helping her learn, give her plenty of love and positive reinforcement, and let her grow into the wonderful dog she's already showing us she can be.
If you're looking for a fun, affectionate, curious little shadow who is ready to experience everything life has to offer, Clover would love to meet you.
