Gingy is the kind of girl who may take a little time to warm up, but once she knows you're safe, get ready for that sweet personality to shine! She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but underneath that cautious exterior is a gentle, loving girl who is just waiting to blossom.
Gingy has been around children of all ages and does well with other dogs, so she's already got some great family skills!
She's also working hard on her confidence. Leashes can still feel a little scary, but she's making progress every day. And that crate she once thought was TERRIFYING? She's now figured out that it's actually a cozy, safe little retreat. Look at you, Gingy!
One more important thing about this sweet girl: Gingy tested heartworm positive, but don't let that scare you away! She is currently going through her heartworm treatment, and her treatments are completely covered by the rescue. She just needs a family who will continue giving her the love and support she deserves while she finishes her journey to being heartworm-free.
Gingy has already come such a long way, and we know her forever family is out there. She doesn't need perfection-she just needs patience, reassurance, and someone willing to show her that the world can be a pretty wonderful place.
Could you be the person who helps Gingy finally feel like she's home?
