If you're looking for a puppy who's equal parts cuddle bug, adventure buddy, and goofy best friend, Ruben is your guy!
At just 3 months old, this handsome Pit Bull/Labrador Retriever mix (we think!) is growing into one gorgeous pup. With his unique little brown spots, warm hazel eyes, adorable pink-speckled nose, and floppy ears, he's impossible not to fall in love with. His sweet face is guaranteed to melt hearts wherever he goes.
Ruben is being raised in a loving foster home with other dogs, and he absolutely loves having canine friends. Whether he's chasing his buddies around the yard, wrestling during playtime, or sharing toys, he's happiest when he's surrounded by friends. He's playful, social, and has the joyful, carefree spirit every puppy should have.

His favorite place to be, though, is right in your lap. Ruben is a total lovebug who hands out endless smooches and never misses an opportunity to cuddle. If you're sitting down, he'll happily volunteer to be your weighted blanket.
One thing that makes Ruben extra special is how wonderful he is in the car. He is the perfect little passenger, happily sitting beside you and taking in the sights. Whether it's a trip to the park, a hike, a pup cup run, or a weekend getaway, Ruben is always ready for his next adventure.
Like any young puppy, he's still learning the ropes. He's working hard on potty training and basic manners and will thrive with a family committed to continuing his training. Luckily, Ruben absolutely loves treats, making him eager to learn and a joy to train. He's a smart little guy who's excited to please his people.
When he's not cuddling or exploring, you'll find him proudly carrying around toys, playing tug-of-war, or entertaining himself with a fun game before coming back for more snuggles.
Ruben has the sweetest heart, the happiest personality, and so much love to give. He'd do wonderfully in a home with another playful dog or as the center of attention in a family ready to include him in all of life's adventures. If you're searching for a best friend who will make you laugh, cover you in kisses, and happily ride shotgun wherever life takes you, Ruben is ready to meet you.

At our 2-acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dogs growth and we enjoy seeing their progress!
We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap-ranging from $100-$1,000+ per dog.
Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
