Mikey Tender Hearted Jones - Pit Bull Terrier and American Staffordshire Terrier Dog for Adoption in Friendswood, Texas

Mike Jones Tenderhearted Heavyweight may weigh 60 pounds, but no one has explained to him that he is not technically a lap dog. This sweet, sensitive boy would much rather rest his head on your shoulder, stay close to his favorite people and be reminded that he is, in fact, your best baby.

Go watch Mike Jones on YouTube to see his tender personality. https://youtu.be/4zsBOwhVeFk

Mikey is estimated to be around three years old and is currently living in a loving foster home with other dogs. He can be a little shy when meeting new canine friends, but his manners are polite and friendly while he takes a moment to get comfortable. Once he warms up, he is ready to play - and a good wrestling match is definitely his idea of fun.

Although Mike enjoys rough-and-rowdy play with dogs who appreciate that style, he is also good at reading the room. Around dogs who prefer a calmer approach, he matches their energy well and is happy to simply share their company.

Mike is a wonderful walking companion with great basic leash skills. He regularly joins his foster for long walks and even enjoys running alongside a bike or going for an occasional run. He has the athleticism to be an adventure buddy, but he does not need intense exercise every day to feel content. He also knows how to relax around the house and enjoys spending time outside.

More than anything, Mike loves his people. He is a big, tender soul who wants affection, closeness and a shoulder sturdy enough to hold his handsome head. When his foster comes home from work, Mike celebrates with the happiest full-body dance- because being reunited with his person is always the best part of his day.

Mike Jones is a big baby, a thoughtful canine friend and a deeply loving companion. If you have room in your home - and on your shoulder - for 60 pounds of sweetness, apply to adopt him today!
