Jasper Roo has two speeds: "Let's go have an adventure!" and "Come here so I can love you."
One minute he's bouncing around the yard with a toy in his mouth, the next he's happily following you around just because he wants to be wherever you are. He's everything people love about puppies... playful, curious, funny, affectionate, and completely convinced that every day is full of exciting possibilities.
Watch his video and prepare to fall in love with this happy little guy:
Jasper is believed to be approximately 4 months old. As with any rescue puppy, his exact breed is always a mystery, but based on his parents, we expect him to stay on the smaller side as an adult, with both mom and dad weighing under 35 pounds. Whatever combination created him also gave him the cutest scruffy little face, a whole lot of personality, and a zest for life that's contagious.
If Jasper had to choose between sitting still or going to see what everyone else is doing... well... we think you already know which one he'd pick. He's always excited to be part of whatever is going on. Whether he's exploring the backyard, carrying one of his favorite toys around like it's the greatest treasure he's ever found, meeting someone new, or splashing around in a kiddie pool, Jasper approaches life with so much happiness that it's hard not to smile watching him. He has that wonderful puppy way of making ordinary days feel a little more exciting.
One of Jasper's best qualities is just how much he loves people. He's outgoing, friendly, and genuinely enjoys making new friends. He's the kind of puppy that wants to be included in whatever you're doing, whether that's running errands, hanging out in the backyard, or simply following you from room to room because he thinks being together is the best part of the day.
Jasper is also wonderfully social with other dogs. He's currently fostered in a home with both large and small dogs and has done beautifully with all of them. He loves having dog friends to play with, and his favorite games usually involve zooming around the yard, wrestling a little, or proudly carrying toys while everyone else joins in the fun. He's a confident, happy puppy that fits right into a busy household.
Speaking of toys... Jasper is a big fan. If there's a toy nearby, chances are he'll proudly parade around with it like he just won first place. And if there's a kiddie pool? Even better. He's discovered that splashing around is one of life's greatest pleasures and never seems to pass up the opportunity for a little water fun.
Like any growing puppy, Jasper is still learning all the important life skills. He's quiet in his crate most of the time, although every now and then he might sing you a little song if he thinks he's missing out on something exciting. We can't really blame him... after all, FOMO is a real thing when you're a puppy. He'll continue thriving with the consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement that every young dog benefits from.
As playful as Jasper is, he also has an incredibly sweet side. Once he's gotten his zoomies out and had his fun, he's more than happy to settle down beside his people and soak up all the affection he can get. He has a wonderful balance of playful energy and loving companionship, making him the kind of puppy that's just as much fun to relax with as he is to adventure alongside.
Jasper is looking for a family that's excited for everything that comes with raising a puppy. Teaching him new things, continuing his training, making memories together, and watching him grow into the amazing adult dog we know he's going to become. In return, they'll get a loyal little sidekick who's guaranteed to keep life entertaining.
If you're looking for a puppy that's equal parts adventure buddy, toy enthusiast, cuddle bug, and professional happiness spreader, Jasper just might be your perfect match. We have a feeling this little guy is going to make his future family laugh, smile, and fall in love with him every single day.
We are willing to test Jasper with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know.
