There is something a little magical about meeting a puppy who seems to have arrived with some of the ""how to be a good dog"" instructions pre-programmed. Angel is an estimated three to four months old, but she already has the beginnings of the kind of manners people spend puppyhood working toward. She is attentive, affectionate, eager to learn and remarkably thoughtful for such a young girl. Hold a treat in front of her and, rather than launching herself toward it with four enthusiastic puppy feet, Angel sits quietly at yours and waits. She looks up, watches you and is attentively ready for whatever comes next.
She is still every bit a puppy, with toys to play with, things to discover and plenty of growing ahead of her. But underneath all of that puppy sweetness is something especially promising: Angel already seems to understand that people are worth paying attention to. She wants to be part of what you're doing, and she is learning very quickly how to do that politely.
Even her name feels like it came with her. Angel has lighter patches of fur across her back that her foster says look like a tiny pair of angel wings. Once you spot them, it is hard to imagine calling her anything else.
Go watch Angel on YouTube, then come right back to learn more about this lovely little puppy.

Angel is growing up in a foster home with both dogs and cats, so she is already getting some of the most valuable education a puppy can have- learning how to live in a real home. She is experiencing the everyday rhythms of family life, sharing space with other animals and learning what is expected of her along the way.
And it shows.
When meeting new people Angel is perfectly polite, keeping all four paws on the ground. She isn't jumping all over people for attention and isn't mouthy. She will sit at someone's feet, wait for a treat and focus on the person in front of her. Her foster family has clearly been putting time into giving her a strong foundation, and Angel seems more than happy to meet them halfway.
Of course, no puppy actually comes pre-programmed. Angel will still need someone willing to continue her training, reinforce those good habits and guide her through all the growing-up stages still ahead. There will be puppy moments, puppy learning curves and probably a few puppy decisions that make absolutely no sense to anyone but Angel. She is only a baby, after all. What makes her special is the beautiful starting point she is bringing with her.
She loves toys and is a wonderful little car rider. She is affectionate and enjoys being near her people, but she doesn't demand their attention every second. There is already such a nice balance to her personality: playful without being chaotic, loving without being pushy, and attentive without needing constant entertainment. She feels like a puppy who will be genuinely happy to learn the routines of her family and grow right into them.
Angel is a rescue puppy, so her exact age and breed are our best estimate. At roughly three to four months old, she has plenty of growing and learning still to do. Continued routine, positive reinforcement, socialization and consistency will help preserve everything her foster home has already begun teaching her.
For someone dreaming about puppyhood but hoping to start with a puppy who already has a few of the good-dog settings switched on, Angel is a pretty remarkable little find. She has the sweetness and silliness you want in a puppy, paired with attentiveness, early manners, experience with dogs and cats, great car-riding skills and a genuine desire to connect with her people.
The good stuff is already there. Now Angel just needs someone to keep building on it and have the privilege of watching this very good little puppy become one truly wonderful dog.
