She was tied to a gas station and left behind.
But Luna was still producing milk.
Somewhere, not long before she was abandoned, Luna had been a mama. When she was found, her puppies were nowhere to be seen.
Then came the shelter.
Scared, overwhelmed, and grieving everything familiar, Luna began to shut down. Behind the kennel door, nobody could see the loving, playful dog underneath all that fear.
Thankfully, Hospitality Helping Hands Rescue did.
They gave her a second chance—and Luna has spent the months since learning that people can be kind and that she is finally safe.
She’s lost more than 20 pounds. Her painful allergies are under control. She’s potty trained, walks beautifully on leash, knows basic commands, has lived successfully with other dogs, and absolutely LOVES her toys.
But some scars take longer to heal.
Luna can be nervous with unfamiliar people and needs slow, thoughtful introductions. Once you’re in her circle, though?
You’re hers.
She’s affectionate, incredibly loyal, playful, and loves being part of family life. She has done well with children and other dogs, but needs a home without cats or small animals due to her prey drive.
Her perfect family will understand that trust takes time and continue the force-free training that has brought her this far. She also requires a strict diet for her allergies.
For approved adopters, a 1–2 week trial is strongly encouraged so Luna has time to decompress and show you who she really is.
Because after being abandoned while nursing her babies...
After losing her family.
After shutting down in a shelter.
After everything this girl has survived...
she still chooses to trust us.
Luna isn’t looking for a perfect family.
She’s looking for the family who stays.
The family who will finally show her what forever means.
