Hi, I'm Everest! I'm a five-month-old, 22-pound pit bull mix. I may be the runt of the litter, but I'm huge in personality and have an endless supply of love to give. I have gorgeous white and dark gray markings and one bright blue eye. Fair warning: I'm probably going to be the most attractive member of your family, so you'll need to be okay with that.
My start in life hasn't exactly been a walk in the park. I was part of a litter living outside and was adopted when I was around six weeks old. Recently, I was returned to the property I originally came from and, through no fault of my own, I found myself back where I started - sleeping outside alone in the cold. Thankfully, I'm now safe, healthy, and ready for my next chapter with my forever family!
My foster mom says I'm truly one of the best puppies she's ever been around. I'm incredibly sweet, smart, affectionate, and eager to learn. I'm crate trained (I may briefly protest, but settle down quickly), sleep through the night, and greet you in the morning with full-body wiggles. I'm doing great with potty training when kept on a regular routine, and picking up recall nicely. I'm also an absolute dream in the car!
I'm a tug enthusiast, a world-class snuggler, and I've never met a treat I didn't like. I love to run, romp, and play (my ears go into sports mode when I get excited), so I'll likely grow into an athletic, active guy who needs plenty of exercise and enrichment. Like most puppies, I can be a bit mouthy, but I redirect beautifully to toys - and sometimes that extra mouthiness is just my way of telling you I need a nap. I'm incredibly social with people and love being around them and giving kisses. My foster mom is pretty much obsessed with me, and everyone I meet seems to fall just as hard. I get lots of comments about what a love bug I am!
My dream family: My foster mom thinks I'd do great in a family with a confident, calm, mature (at least 3-5 years old) dog sibling to help show me the ropes of life. I'm cautious but curious of other dogs, likely because I had an early experience of a large dog biting me in the face. Given this unfortunate experience, dog fit, proper boundaries, and slow, thoughtful introductions are a must. Pittie experience is a big plus but not a requirement! An active person or family who enjoys long, sniffy walks, playtime, and adventures would be right up my alley. I'd love a home where I get plenty of companionship and time with my humans. Most of all, I want someone who is absolutely in love with and dedicated to me the way I will be to them!
