Petey The Sweetie - Pit Bull Terrier and American Staffordshire Terrier Dog for Adoption in Dallas, Texas

At about 5 years old and 60 lbs, Petey is convinced he's a lap dog—and if you sit down, he'll gladly prove it. If he fits, he sits... and if he doesn't fit? He sits anyway.
But here's what makes Petey truly special...

His favorite thing isn't toys. It isn't treats. It's HIS PEOPLE.

Petey doesn't just love his family—he ADORES them. He wants to be your shadow, your adventure buddy, your couch companion, and your biggest fan. If you're looking for that once-in-a-lifetime dog who forms an incredible bond with his person, Petey is exactly that dog.

While Petey has been fostered alongside other dogs for years and has done well with proper introductions, we've realized he'd be happiest as the one and only dog in his forever home. Why? Because Petey would love nothing more than to soak up every ounce of your love and attention—and give it right back tenfold.
He's the perfect match for someone who wants their dog to be the center of their world... and who wants to be the center of theirs.

Petey's highlights:
Loves people more than anything
Leash & harness trained
Crate trained
Potty trained
Great in the car
Loves walks and would make an awesome running buddy
Happy to explore with you all day... then curl up in your lap all evening

The puppy chaos is behind him, but his heart is as big as ever.

Sadly, Petey keeps getting overlooked simply because he's a black pittie mix in Texas. Meanwhile, one of the most loyal, affectionate dogs you'll ever meet has been waiting far too long for someone to choose him.

Could that someone be you?
