Burton - Pit Bull Terrier Dog for Adoption in Clayton, New Jersey

Meet Burton!

Burton is a handsome 2-year-old Pitbull weighing around 60 pounds who came to the shelter as a stray. Now, this sweet boy is hoping to leave his stray days behind him and find a loving family to call his own!

Burton walks very nicely on a leash, taking things a little slow as he gains confidence in the world around him. He can be a bit scared at first, but with patience, kindness, and a little reassurance, we hope he’ll continue to blossom.

He’s done well meeting other dogs and even seems to be okay with cats! While every introduction should be done slowly and thoughtfully, Burton has shown us that he may be able to fit into a variety of homes.

More than anything, Burton deserves a chance to feel safe, loved, and wanted. He’s a very sweet boy with so much potential, and we would love to see him trade shelter life for a cozy bed, a caring family, and a lifetime of happiness.

Applications are now being accepted for Burton! Could you be the one to give this gentle boy the happy ending he deserves?

Please consider opening your heart and home to Burton. His forever family is out there — let's help him find them!
