Pippi Longstocking, a woodland fairy, and a little adventurer with a heart full of wonder, you’ll find Forest.
A petite young gal with a curious spirit, a beautiful soul, and a whole village of humans who think she’s pretty spectacular.
Forest was a volunteer favorite at Chicago Animal Care & Control, where she was adopted, only to later be found as a stray, heartbreakingly emaciated.
Forest’s story didn’t end there.
Her village showed up.
And today, this beautiful girl is getting another chance to discover just how wonderful life can be.
Forest is the kind of dog who approaches the world with a little sparkle in her step and a whole lot of curiosity in her heart.
She loves dogs. She loves cats. She loves people. She’s wonderful on leash and absolutely delights in the great outdoors.
Trails to explore? She’s in.
New smells to investigate? Absolutely.
A lap to curl up in afterward? Even better.
She’s equal parts adventurer and professional lap warmer, with that wonderfully mischievous, Pippi Longstocking kind of energy that makes ordinary days feel like something out of a storybook.
Forest doesn’t need the grandest life.
She just wants to be part of one.
A family who takes her along, celebrates her curiosity, welcomes her animal friendships, and understands that the best adventures often end with everyone piled together on the couch.
She’s petite in size, enormous in spirit, and surrounded by a community that has never stopped believing in her.
Some dogs need a second chance.
Forest deserves a lifetime of them.
This time, we’d love for her next adventure to have one beautiful, permanent destination.
Home.
Come meet Forest.
Your favorite little adventurer is waiting.
