Meet Mama Ruby Ann

After everything Ruby Ann has been through, you’d never know it by the way she loves people.

Ruby Ann is an approximately 4-year-old Pit Bull/Black Mouth Cur mix who has already lived quite a story.

While in South Carolina, Ruby Ann was shot after entering someone’s yard. Thankfully, a local rescue stepped in and gave her the safety she desperately needed. It was there that they discovered Ruby Ann was pregnant.

Before she could give birth, Ruby Ann made her way north to rescue, where she safely delivered her beautiful babies and became the most devoted mama. She raised her puppies, loved them fiercely, and did exactly what she needed to do.

Now her babies are growing up and preparing to leave for their forever homes—and it’s finally Mama Ruby Ann’s turn to be somebody’s baby.

And what a baby she is.

Ruby Ann is truly one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet. She absolutely adores her people and is happiest simply being near them. If you’re working, she’ll happily curl up at your feet and keep you company. If you’re relaxing, she’ll settle beside you. She doesn’t need to be the center of attention every minute—she just wants to be part of your life.

She has a playful side, too! Ruby Ann enjoys playing, loves her bones, and is a very enthusiastic fan of snacks. She also loves her meals, so if you’re looking for a dog who will be exceptionally grateful for anything edible, Ruby Ann has that department covered.

Ruby Ann is fully potty trained and doing wonderfully with her crate training. She’s working on her basic commands and learning more every day. She definitely has a mind of her own—which, honestly, is part of what makes her Ruby Ann—but she listens very well and wants to please her people.

More than anything, Ruby Ann needs a home where she can finally experience something she hasn’t had enough of:

Being someone’s dog.

She has spent so much of her life surviving, being rescued, and caring for her puppies. Now she deserves the simple things—her own bed, her favorite people, a good bone, some snacks, a place beside you, and the security of knowing she isn’t going anywhere.

Her puppies will begin heading to their forever homes on October 23rd, and Mama Ruby Ann will be ready for hers.

Ruby Ann doesn’t need someone to save her anymore.

She needs someone to love her.

Adoption Fee: $475

MORE INFO: Every dog with Wilder Souls Rescue receives thorough veterinary care before adoption. Each pup is examined by our vet and treated for age-appropriate needs. This typically includes:
* Full health exam
* Deworming
* Core vaccines (Bordetella, DHPP series, Rabies)
* Microchipping
* Monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention

IMPORTANT: This dog has not yet been altered. Wilder Souls Rescue requires a $100 deposit in addition to the adoption fee, along with a strictly enforced Spay/Neuter Contract that states you must have this dog altered within 6 months of adoption. The $100 deposit will be returned once the contract has been fulfilled.

All of our dogs live in loving foster homes, where they can decompress, learn routines, and prepare for a smooth transition into their forever families.
