Falcon - Tripod Alert - Pit Bull Terrier Dog for Adoption in Buford, Georgia

Check out this handsome guy!! Falcon is a big ol' friendly goofball just waiting for his family to find him!

Falcon arrived at a local shelter with his front leg atrophied and contracted. He wasn't using it at all, and it could not be cured so he had an amputation. Since he already had no use of the leg there was essentially no transition in that regard to becoming a tripod, he just had to heal from the incision.

Falcon is a big boy!! He can get tired pretty quickly on walks, having to hop, but at the same time he is an energetic young dog (estimated at about 1.5 yrs) who needs lots of exercise, mental and physical.

Falcon loves everybody he meets, and lives with dogs and cats in his foster home! He is still learning how to operate his big body with his puppy brain, and he can be a bit of a bull in a China shop!

Due to his size and his tendency to be "mouthy", if there are children in his home we will require that they are 12 +. He has shown absolutely NO aggression, but he definitely likes to put stuff in his mouth in a playful way (including arms and legs! Lol). We are working with him on that, and we will expect that any adopter will be willing to continue guiding him to grow up to be the best boy we know he is!

Falcon is housetrained, crate trained, and just a happy guy!

We don't consider him "special needs" so we're not gonna check that box! He just needs a family who is mindful of how much he can do physically, to work on building up his stamina, and to keep his mind active to balance the fact that he can't run around and get his zoomies out like other young pups.
