Meet Possum - aka "Roo"!

Hi, I'm Possum, but my foster mom calls me Roo because I'm her little energetic butterscotch bunny! With my adorable coloring and little pocket-pittie looks, I'm pretty hard to resist. I may even have some Chihuahua in my mix, which means I might stay on the smaller side. At just 11 weeks old and around 12 pounds, I'm still a tiny girl with a BIG personality!

I'm your typical happy, energetic puppy, which means I have plenty of zoomies, puppy antics, and things I'm still learning. I can keep my kennel clean when I'm not in there too long, but I'm still a baby, so I'm not fully potty trained yet. I'm learning my house manners and doing my best to be a good girl.

My story didn't have the happiest beginning, but I'm hoping my forever family will give me the happy ending I deserve. I started out with a homeless woman who couldn't care for me and I eventually ended up living outside with lots of big dogs. Being such a little puppy, that was pretty scary, and I learned to eat my food quickly because I wasn't always sure when my next meal would come. My foster mom makes sure I have plenty of food now, but I'm still a very enthusiastic eater!

I eventually ended up listed on a free site, which can be a scary place for a little puppy. Thankfully, a wonderful rescue foster stepped in, got me safe and healthy, and then Northern Lakes Rescue saw my adorable face and decided I belonged in Minnesota. And now here I am, safe and loved in my foster home!

I live with other dogs and LOVE to play! I'm happiest when I have a doggy friend who can keep up with my puppy energy. I'm also completely fascinated by cows and horses-they are SO BIG compared to little ol' me! I haven't met a cat yet, but I have a feeling I'd think they were pretty exciting too. A proper introduction would be important.

When I'm not busy playing, exploring, and being a little puppy tornado, I do have a sweet, cuddly side. Once I finally run out of steam, I'm ready to snuggle up and soak up some love.

My past may not have been perfect, but my future can be. All I need is a family willing to help me grow, learn, and love me forever.

Possums's adoption fee is $425 plus MN tax which covers her spay, vaccinations, microchip and any additional medical care she may have needed while in the rescue's care.
