Whitey - Labrador Retriever and Mixed Breed Dog for Adoption in Brainerd, Minnesota

Meet Whitey, a 3-year-old, 85-pound gentle giant who is every bit as sweet as he is handsome.

Whitey has been described by his foster as "the perfect gentleman. Literally." He is friendly, affectionate, easygoing, and loves being around people. He also does well with dogs, cats, and children, making him a wonderful fit for many different types of homes.

He is both house trained and crate trained and already has many of the basics down. Whitey is the kind of dog who settles in easily, enjoys being part of the family, and is just happy to have people to love.

Whitey was brought to a veterinary clinic to be euthanized after his owner entered hospice care, but the veterinarian saw that this sweet boy still had so much life and love left to give. Instead of ending his story, they neutered him and helped give Whitey the chance to start a brand-new chapter.

Now he's ready for the best part: finding a forever family of his own.

Whitey's adoption fee is $400 plus MN tax which covers his neuter, vaccinations, microchip and any additional medical care he may have needed while in the rescue's care.
