From her foster:Java is a one of a kind girl and ready for a home. Every day has been better than the last and she has really come around with manners and just being a sweetheart. She is down for anything and loves being outside but will also lay by you with some part of her body always touching. She would do great with someone who is patient and kind and willing to work with her on leash manners and keeping her attention. She’ll be a truly loyal dog when she finds her person.Java is an incredibly intelligent puppy. She’s house broken. She easily learned sit and is starting to understand down and touch. While, she isn’t a fan of the crate, she quickly settles down and sleeps through the night in it. Java is very playful and energetic. She lives with two resident dogs, she is constantly trying to play with. She would love a sibling of equal size and energy who she can run around and play with. She absolutely loves toys and will empty out the toy bin one toy at a time hoarding them on the couch. Her favorite place is on the couch next to her foster dad chomping on a toy. Her most adorable feature is her incredibly long tongue that barely fits in her mouth. She loves to give kisses whether she means to or not.  She is a very confident dog but can be nervous around new people. She also gets will be attached to her person. ____Java is a sweet, playful girl who may need just a moment to get comfortable before her personality comes shining through. Shelter staff describe her as shy at first, but quick to warm up, friendly, and very sweet.Java has also shown lovely social skills with other dogs. During her shelter playgroup evaluation, she entered a little uncertain with her tail tucked, but quickly relaxed and began playing with another dog. When a more enthusiastic dog became too pushy, Java communicated appropriately and handled the situation well. She was paired with a doggy roommate, and may be a great candidate for a home with a well-matched canine companion.
